It has been my privilege to serve and lead Crossroads as Pastor, since 1997. Vanessa, our 3 children, and I are all native Texans, but love our adopted state of North Carolina. Vanessa and I graduated from Howard Payne University in Brownwood, Texas. She taught math at Harnett Central High School for 9 years and recently moved to West Johnston High School. Vanessa serves as one of our Worship Leaders.

I did further studies at a wonderful school in Fort Worth, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div. and D.Min.). I have been a pastor since the summer after my high school graduation and can’t believe how gracious the Lord has been in allowing me to serve Him.

Our son, Ben and his wife, Brooke are graduates of UNC-Charlotte. Ben is Worship Pastor at Northview Community Church near Hendersonville, NC.  He also works at a Christian adoption agency. They gave Ken & Vanessa their first grandchild in June of 2007 -- Caleb. Jennifer is a graduate of UNC-Charlotte and is working hard as an elementary teacher in Cabarrus County. She married Larry Harahus on December 15 of 2007. Mikaela is a freshman at Campbell University, majoring in Business.  She is also one of our worship leaders.

We have people from all over the country, from every economic and educational level, and we absolutely love it when God enlarges His family, here. Kevin Gregory leads our newest ministry -- a campus of Crossroads just for the Anderson Creek community. We'll be meeting at Overhills High School, with preview services beginning in July and weekly services starting in September.

Kevin and his wife Nancy, along with their children, Jonathan and Kirsten, are not strangers to beginning a new church. They've done it once before, in Athens, Tennessee. This time, it won't exactly be a separate church, as what we are doing is building an extension of the ministry of Crossroads into a different community. There will be one vision, one set of values, one overall leadership, one message -- but in 2 locations!

Kevin serves as a Lt.Colonel in the US Army. He is a civil affairs and planning specialist. In 2009, his commitment will be up and he will devote full-time to building Crossroads multi-site ministry. As a pastor, Kevin's heart is for reaching the people often ignored or overlooked by churches, leading them to faith, and helping them grow as followers of Jesus.

Children's Ministry is one of the most exciting places to be! I began here in August of 2005 after an unmistakable calling to serve the Lord by teaching His kids about Him. We have added programs, changed things and remarkably reached a lot of kids for Him. Children's ministry is definitely a living thing like the church and we are constantly changing which suits me well.

I graduated with a degree in Elementary Education from Southwest Minnesota State University in 2003. After studenting teaching in England, Bob (my husband) and I decided that we wanted to try something new. We placed applications everywhere and landed in North Carolina. It is without a doubt where the Lord wants us. We recommitted our lives to Christ here and were both baptized here at Crossroads. What an awesome God we serve!

We are expecting our first child in September and I can't wait. Becoming a parent is an amazing gift from God and I have been so blessed to work with all of your children!

Chris Pearson and his wife Kim love students, love the Lord, and love to bring the two together.  They oversee our growing ministry with teens and young adults.  From small group Bible Studies on Sunday mornings, to large gatherings for high-energy worship in the Crosswalk Student Center, they love to see students come to know Christ, give him control of their lives, and begin to move into adulthood as fully committed Christ-Followers.

Chris and Kim are both involved in public education.  They have one son, Isaiah, and another baby on the way.  They’d love to meet you and help you get plugged in to Student Ministry at Crossroads.
