We believe that becoming a Disciple (a true follower of Jesus) is a process. God will use small groups, a one-on-one discipling relationship, teaching in large groups, books you’re reading, and certainly His Word to accomplish life-transformation in you.
Here is one way to visualize the life of a growing Christ-follower: You have a definite s tarting point where you focus on just how much God loves you -- and you learn to return that love in personal and corporate worship experiences. You start to notice that He is also teaching you to love the people around you with a deeper love than you’ve ever experienced before.
Living things are always growing. As you find life in Jesus Christ, He will help you experience growth. This is where we offer you all kinds of learning and fellowship experiences with others in small group settings. You’ll feel comfortable in asking your questions and, if you choose, revealing your struggles and doubts.
Once growth begins, you’ll want to take the next step -- serving God and the people around you. He designed you to do some things really well. We’ll help you discover your gifts and passion and show you how to engage in what God created you to do.
We believe that all Christians are given the awesome opportunity to speak up for God. This isn’t as hard as you might think. It’s simply telling the story of what God has done in your life and being willing to go to any person and to any place He calls you to.
No matter how far you think you have to go, it’s never too late to get started. Don’t worry -- you’ll have plenty of company along the road. You’ll notice some are moving at different speeds and sometimes with a different primary concern, but someone is going to there to walk alongside you as we seek to allow Christ to transform our hearts and make them like His.
